CAMP PARADISE FUNDRAISER!! Camp Paradise is need of a new Dishwasher and Food Disposal. The approximate cost is $3500.00. Please send any donations to Jim Smith, Camp Paradise Board Treasurer, 15 Lago Villa, Ogallala, NE 69153-6009. Thank you for any assistance you can offer!
**NEW** CARETAKER HOME AT BIG SPRUCE
The Mobile home at Big Spruce Camp was originally set up in 1972 or 1973, so it is approaching 40 years old. Upon recent inspection by several of the board members and a couple of knowledgeable construction people, the board concluded it needed some significant repairs and maintenance. Following much debate, we have decided rather than spend in the neighborhood of $20,000 - and still have an old unit which is expensive to heat in the winter, now is the time to replace the home with a more efficient unit for our caretakers.
With approximately $20,000 on hand, $15,000 each from the Colorado Springs and Grand Junction Congregations, it appears we are still in need of significant funds to finish this project and a couple of other projects we would like to do in the near future
If you can make a contribution or a pledge, please send it to Bishop Dave Tiffany, Treasurer of the Big Spruce Board, at 1940 Hawthorn Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81506.
Thank you, The Big Spruce Camp Board,
Bill Grimes, President
**UPDATE P.S. (ABOUT $22,000 WAS GIVEN OR PLEDGED AT THE BIG SPRUCE REUNION, THE DELTA CONGREGATION HAS PLEDGED ANOTHER $5,000. The total given or pledged to date is approximately $57,000.) Thank you for the generous response of the individuals and congregations in support of the Big Spruce Campgrounds!
